CONTAINER PROCUREMENT:

  • Determine preferred container manufacturer and desired asset types based on your menu items.

    • Please note that metal containers are not currently compatible with RFID, Topanga’s passive scan-in technology), but are compatible with manual scan-in.

  • Determine necessary inventory, our suggestions below:

    • Every to-go order is in a reusable container: Daily to-go volume x 5

    • There is still a single-use option: Daily to-go volume x 3

  • Work with your distributor to procure containers. If you do not work with a distributor, feel free to reach out to the below contacts that Topanga has worked with in the past:

QR/RFID Tag Procurement:

  • Topanga requires manufacturers to apply tags to all container inventory prior to shipping to the client. To coordinate tag delivery, follow these steps:

    • Reach out to the Topanga team with the subject line "Tag Order Request - Campus name."

    • Include the following details: - Asset types (i.e. 3-Compartment Entree, item#) - Quantity of each asset type - Manufacturer contact/email - Shipping address/contact - Target arrival date for tags. (Tags typically are delivered to the manufacturer 7-10 days post order placement).

*If you already have containers on hand that you wish to use with your ReusePass program, please contact your CSM or email clientsuccess@topanga.io. If your containers are compatible with Topanga's tags, we will provide detailed application guidelines required for longevity of tags.

SCANPP DEVICES AND ACCESSORIES PROCUREMENT

**Topanga can procure, configure and ship refurbished ScanApp devices for you as a courtesy. These will be billed per device. Topanga does not own these devices and they do not come with a warranty. Topanga is not responsible for ScanApp devices that become damaged or stop working.

SCANAPP DEVICE SET UP

  • ScanApp devices must be connected to power and network at all times. WiFi connectivity is preferred:

    • Non-guest wifi that does not require browser based authentication.

    • If WiFi is not an option, devices can function on cellular plans set up and managed by your IT Department or devices can be connected directly to ethernet.

      • Linked HERE is an adapter clients have used.

  • Every device needs the TOPANGA SCANAPP. The Topanga ScanApp is downloadable from the Google Play Store for free and is compatible with any android device.

  • We recommend putting device management software on all devices.

  • If you are procuring a device to be set up on Topanga’s device management software, Hexnode, please follow the below:

RETURN BIN PROCUREMENT

RETURN BIN OPERATIONS

  • Return bins need to be emptied regularly and placed where users can easily access them:

    • Return bins must be emptied at least once per day.

    • Return bins must be placed in locations that users frequent, can be accessed 24/7, and can be easily accessed by operators who are emptying the bins.

    • Return bins must be placed next to waste receptacles for easy visibility, clear distinction from trash bins, and convenient container emptying.

DRYING RACK PROCUREMENT (optional)

  • If you want to purchase drying racks to accommodate the influx in reusable containers, here is an option: CAMBRO DOME DRYING RACK
